Hi, my name is Barry J. Fletcher, a lawyer and writer hailing originally from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and now living and working in London.

I studied Jurisprudence at the University of Oxford and went on to practise law in the City of London, specialising in commercial litigation and international arbitration. I left private practice law to join a legal publisher and now write about law for other lawyers (see: http://linkd.in/1MpWvek), which is infinitely more conducive to writing fiction.

I studied creative writing under Dr Stephen Carver as part of the UEA (Continuing Education)’s On-line Creative Writing Programme. My novelette, February Sun, was self-published on Amazon Kindle in October 2013 (http://amzn.to/Kiis2L). I’ve written a novel and have begun a second.
